CBTU Supports AFGE At Hampton VA Medical Center
CBTU and AFGE Join Forces to Rally in Support of Federal Workers
We all know the saying, ”an injury to one, is an injury to all.” CBTU (Coalition of Black Trade Unionists) means what they say. On April 17, 2025, CBTU came to the Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (HVAMC) to show their support for Federal Employees and AFGE (American Federation of Government Employees).
The current attacks on federal workers across the country are having a rippling effect. Government services that people rely on are being cut. Friends and neighbors are being fired en masse without cause-losing their incomes, their health insurance, and their ability to provide a safe and stable life for their families.
Right now, many people are feeling hopeless, overwhelmed, and alone. But, we are NOT alone in this fight. No one is coming to save us, so we are saving ourselves. Working class Americans and Labor Unions across the country are gathering to fight back in solidarity. And when we fight, we win.
